Heading into fall.....

A buzz of activity the end of August signified the sad coming of the end of the Summer 2009 season. With the start of school, it is evident how quickly our fun days of summer have gone past. We hope each and every one of you enjoyed your membership at Swim & Racquet this summer. As always, many thanks to our staff and support personnel.

Remember, off-season rentals generate revenue for our Club activities during the season. There are many days available for our members to take advantage of the Clubhouse for special occasions or business meetings. The cost is minimal — $300.00 with a security deposit of $200.00 for ANY type of function — not just family events. Non-members can use the facility for $500.00, with a security deposit of $300.00. Call the office if you have questions regarding dates and/or fees. 451-3762.

Best regards for a pleasant fall, winter and spring!

Social update

CarnivalThanks to all that attended the first Swim & Racquet carnival! The night was a huge success and we would like to thank Becky Scholl, Amy Cullen, Suzanne Black, Holly Linzell, Lisa Wenzke, Carolyn Weeks, Deb Schadek, and Joy Burcham and their families for planning and working such a fun event!

Also, thanks to all that attended the end of the year bash. Although it was cooler and a bit rainy, we had close to 300 people!

We would also like to thank all the ladies and vendors that participated in the ladies day activities. The lunch was scrumptious and the vendors were wonderful.  Thanks to Lynne Deshler for organizing the vendors to give us fun things to look at and ways to pamper ourselves.

Reminder, the last floating flick is this Sunday September 6, weather permitting. The movie will be High School Musical 3.

It has been an odd, weather wise, but fun summer and keep looking for upcoming events throughout the winter such as another euchre night, gingerbread house making, and other fun activites for the family.

Thanks!
Christen and Lori

Tennis 2009

Hello to all you wonderful members! I hope you have had a wonderful tennis season! Even as daylight hours decline, tennis courts are available for your play. Weather-permitting, many courts will remain open throughout the fall season. Unfortunately, with the return of many of our Yard Dogs to school or college, the courts won’t receive the pristine care they have had all summer. All courts that are open will be groomed once daily. Soft Courts 1-6 will remain open and playable into October. Back courts, 12-15 will be the first to close as play and weather mandates. Hard Courts 7-11 will remain open during winter, with windscreens being removed from courts 9-11. As always, when play is finished at night, please turn off court lights.

See you at the courts!
Pam
